Our Story
Our mission is simple: To support families navigate Autism & Neurodivergence
Our History
Autism Awareness Roscrea was founded in 2018 by a group of like-minded parents and community members who wanted to create positive change and greater support for autistic individuals and their families within our community.
Since then, the group has grown into a dedicated committee of volunteers who are passionate about promoting awareness, acceptance, and inclusion. Our work focuses on highlighting the everyday experiences and challenges faced by individuals living with autism and other forms of neurodiversity, while helping to build a more understanding and supportive community for everyone.

About Us
Based in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, we support families locally as well as from surrounding counties including Offaly, Laois, Galway, Limerick, and Clare. Many families have also travelled from further afield to take part in our events, particularly our Annual Sensory Friendly Community Fun Day, which continues to bring the community together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We run many of our activities and supports from our community hub in Whitepark, Roscrea, where families can connect, take part in events, and access a safe and supportive space within the community.

Our Mission
Our mission is to increase awareness, acceptance & inclusion by organising activities from social events, including clubs for ages 3.5 to 18 years, parent meet ups and providing support for people who wish to make their club/organisation/workplace or business more autism and neurodiverse friendly.
I always leave much happier!
